Blissful Pizza

Never heard of this place until my friend decided to drag me there. God she would not stop going on about their pizzas!!! Honestly, i was not really looking forward to it because I was quite satisfied with my Pizza Hut and Domino's pizza. But man was I wrong. “The Fat Boy” provides you with one of the best pizzas in town and is located at 18/24,1st Cross Street, TTK Road, Alwarpet, Chennai.

Okay before we go on to their food can we just look at how cute their menu is!!!

Instead of the usual pictures of the pizza, they have gone with a more different approach for their menu which I truly appreciate because even without delicious looking pictures of pizzas they are able to attract the attention of their customers by thinking out of the box.  Also when I went there I was surprised to see an open kitchen where you first hand see the chef making the pizza. I mean how cool is that!!

Okay now onto the food segment. I have only been there once with my friend and we had this pizza called “ATTA BOY.”. It was slightly spicy with small chunks of chicken, the right amount of cheese was over it. I hate it when the toppings of the pizza come off after just one bite like when I take a bite the whole slice just falls apart. But over here it was not like, they had the appropriate amount of everything that created one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted. And their crust was just awesome it was neither too thin or too thick, it was perfect. So if you want to take a break from your regular pizzas I would suggest you guys head down there and have a blissful experience. Also, their sandwiches and milkshakes taste amazing!!  We ordered an Oreo Peanut butter milkshake which ended by being the highlight of our visit to the Fat Boy. It was served with the right amount of thickness a milkshake should have. Furthermore, their service was not bad, The person who served us was quite patient and even made suggestions based on our likes and dislikes after we told him. So i have no complaints on that. After reading all this don't you already feel like going to the place?? Even if you don’t I bet you will after seeing these photos of the delicious food !!!

Although it cost 1250 on average for two slightly more expensive than Dominos or Pizza Hut, it's worth the money because not only does it taste like heaven, they also give you generous portions.

The very hungry frenchman

Raymond Blanc: the Very Hungry Frenchman (BBC Two) was a food programme with too many ingredients. Stirred together to form a near-indigestible stew, it combined elements of a traditional cookery series with those of a TV travelogue and a Who Do You Think You Are?-style documentary, as Blanc revisited the areas of France that inspired him to become a chef. Greek week

Baklava is an ancient Greek delicacy, valued for it's rich culture and references in history. It is a soft, flaky pastry with pistachio paste and caramel. This recipe serves 18. Ingredients  250g butter, melted 500g chopped walnuts 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 packet filo pastry 200g caster sugar 250ml water 8 tablespoons honey 1 large piece of lemon peel Directions Preheat oven to 180 C. Butter the bottom and sides of a 23x33cm baking dish. Toss nuts with cinnamon. Set aside. Unroll filo pastry. Cut whole stack at once to fit the dimensions of the baking dish. Cover filo with a damp cloth to keep from drying out as you work. Place two sheets of filo in dish, buttering the top layer. Repeat until you have 8 sheets layered.
