Bon Appe"tempt"!

Have you ever driven past Besant Nagar and come across a house converted restaurant? If you have, then you’re already one step closer to visiting this eatery. This is a review on “Little Italy”.

“Little Italy” is located at E-50, 17th cross street, lane before Spencers daily, Besant nagar, Chennai. The eatery has branches in Anna Nagar west, Pallavakkam and Teynampet as well. The restaurants opening hours are from 11:30am - 3pm and 6:30pm – 11pm.

The restaurant offers vegetarian Italian and Mexican cuisine. The restaurant also serves jain food. The average cost for 2 people is 1300 rupees.

The restaurant has a rating of 4.2/5 (zomato) and 4.4/5(dineout)

The restaurant offers a variety of starters, soups ,salads , pizzas ,pastas and desserts. The restaurant has 2 signature dishes, one being the “Pizza Mellino”, it contains tomatoes, black olives, capsicum, mozzarella and jalapeno.

And not to forget their Pasta del Fattore, it has a bunch of quality ingredients.

The tomato soup and the varieties of garlic bread with a touch of Tabasco sauce. Truly amazing! I cannot wait to have some more. The Masala nachos with mustard sauce and dry tomatoes were exceptional and finally the chocolate bomb, Indeed a bomb it was. Gooey chocolate oozing from a warm chocolate cake was rich and indulgent. Served with vanilla ice cream on the side. This was undoubtedly the best dessert of the night.Overall for their food, I rate them a 4/5.
As we entered the restaurant, we were welcomed with a blue drink. The waiters were really kind and even served us at the table. The staff were really well trained as well. However, they take quite a long time to bring our dishes to the table. For their service, would rate them a 4/5.

“Little Italy” is a house converted restaurant. It has a kind of modern look to it that doesn’t really give the look of a restaurant. This is something I would love to see them upgrade. However, the interior is really beautiful and wonderfully decorated. I would rate them a 3/5 for the restaurants ambience.

Overall I would rate “Little Italy” a 4 outta 5. You guys should definitely try it out! Pizza Mellino, here I come!!!
