Nasi and Mee

The simple rule of a place being full during lunch rush means it is a good place is best emphasised by Nasi and Mee. Packed to the brim on a weekday but still, the food tasted good and the service was great. It's not a large place so if you miss out on a table during rush hour, can't be helped. But if you get in, you won't be disappointed. 

Large enough portions that you don't have to order too much and a menu that is not too large to get you confused. One of the best Asian places to eat in Chennai.

Raymond Blanc: the Very Hungry Frenchman (BBC Two) was a food programme with too many ingredients. Stirred together to form a near-indigestible stew, it combined elements of a traditional cookery series with those of a TV travelogue and a Who Do You Think You Are?-style documentary, as Blanc revisited the areas of France that inspired him to become a chef. Blanc is jolly company and never shy of playing to stereotype – he said “Ooh la” seven times and drove a misfiring Citroën – but unlike his cuisine the whole enterprise was horribly overcooked.

MasterChef     MasterChef is a BBC television competitive cooking show. It initially ran between 1990 and 2001 and was later revived in a different format known as MasterChef Goes Large from 2005 onwards. In 2008, the "Goes Large" part of the name was dropped, but the format remains identical. The revamped format was devised by Franc Roddam and John Silver with Karen Ross producing.          The series now appears in four versions: the main MasterChef series, MasterChef: The Professionals for working chefs, Celebrity MasterChef and Junior MasterChef for 9-to-12-year-olds.The format has been reproduced around the world in a large number of international versions.
