Mamagota

I love visiting this place. Mostly here for dinners on weekends, I have sampled a good number of options on the menu and rarely been disappointed. The decor is warm and cozy; the seating is non-intrusive. The place is hygienic and the kitchen is part-open. There is valet parking and billing is on table. My recommendations: Basil Cups (both Veg and Chicken) and Prawn and Celery Dumplings - Both Starters, Mamagoto's Chicken Broth for the Hungry Soul - Main Course (Generous serving, satiating tummy in no time!). All pretty smashing. The only turn-off is service. The service drops considerably with a larger crowd and the waiting time, post order, shoots up. So, here is my tip: Be here at 7-7.30pm for dinner. Meal for 2: INR 1200(veg), INR 1500(non-veg). Overall a good experience

CHOCOLATE AND CHEESE  OK, so a couple of days back, I ran into the canteen during lunch recess, I wanted something sweet to eat because my mouth was bored eating chili cheese everyday. I looked into the menu and realized they had something called chocolate cheese sandwich.  How weird? I mean, I don't know if you guys have heard about it or not, but I didn't until then. When I took feedback from people about this chocolate cheese sandwich - most of them we're positive. So I decided to try it. Cause why not? I wasn't disappointed at all! and guys, were talking about combinations here, so it doesn't necessarily have to be a sandwich, it can even be a pizza or something!! It'll still be delicious, Definitely a must try!!!

The Lagoon                        Highlight was the food... I believe it's the best you could find in SL. Service from start to end was amazing dispite being full-house. Preparation time was faster than I expected... Thank you Hashendri and team for making my special day even more special...!

Downtown Cafe

I go to this cafe every time I go to Beasant nagar beach. Food is really nice, supported by equally good service staffs and smiling faces! However I never got a chance to sit upstairs! Every time I go there they say it's packed.. Really curious to see what's the ambiance like upstairs!! But nevertheless the great food and extremely creative menu designing blows mind on every visit. Such a quite & pleasant place to spend some quality time with your loved ones

Paradise Road and Gallery Cafe.                                                                                    Love the place, the location, the ambience & the food. The art that gets exhibited here is truly great. I love the freshly baked bread that they serve. Their black pork curry is a popular choice, I love their salads, soups, fish & chips too & have tasted almost everything on the menu except for the shell fish. The staff are very friendly, the service is good but the food gets delayed, i guess due to the demand, the presentation & the process. I wish the chairs were more comfortable. The coconut ice cream is my all time favorite.

Nasi and Mee

The simple rule of a place being full during lunch rush means it is a good place is best emphasised by Nasi and Mee. Packed to the brim on a weekday but still, the food tasted good and the service was great. It's not a large place so if you miss out on a table during rush hour, can't be helped. But if you get in, you won't be disappointed.  Large enough portions that you don't have to order too much and a menu that is not too large to get you confused. One of the best Asian places to eat in Chennai.

Cream Centre

Went to the RA Puram branch of cream centre. The place was full even at 7 PM! Started with a soup order. They have very limited choices in soup. It wasn't hot nor was it very tasty. Average. The starters came along with the soup. We ordered Onion rings and Italian toast. They were good. The main dishes were two pastas - white and red sauce based. Both of them were average in taste. We ordered a sizzler - while the taste was good, it wasn't piping hot as it should be. We also ordered roti and paneer makahni. Paneer was good. Dessert was sizzling choco brownie fudge and it was delicious.  While the service was prompt, it wasn't courteous and the staff didn't smile! They have a free tattoo service at the entrance which is an added attraction for the kids. Overall, it was an average experience.
